Trey-Von Wrights Obama Graduation essay

Hug High school is a school of diversity. It’s a school that teaches students real life. It’s a school that encourages students to do the right thing, and helps students when they make mistakes. I would say Hug High School is the best School in Nevada. I say this because I’ve been to other high schools in Nevada and at no other school have I achieve such greatness. When I first started School at Hug I was provided a job as a kitchen worker, where I make good money for a part time job. My grades when up. I went from a 1.9 GPA to a 3.33.
The thing that makes this school different from other schools is that no one is an outcast here. There are a lot of different ethnicity’s here and everyone is welcome. Theirs no out casts here. Nobody’s better then anyone at hug, and that’s what you are taught when you go here. I think students want to come here everyday because they know that this is a school where they can achieve success. This is a school where every student is successful in everything they do.
Hug offers tutoring for kids that need it. There are teachers who take time out of their day to offer tutoring sessions on weekends and provide us with food, prizes, and games.
Hug is located in a generally urban neighborhood where there is not a lot of money, and a lot of different ethnicities. The school used to be known as a unsuccessful school because of the location, and the diverse background. Test scores used to be low. And Hug was not a school a lot of parent thought was good for they’re children.
Now today the school has been turned around. Test scores have gone up. And hug has become a successful school. Teachers care for students here. What other school do you know that will offer you a job with pay? And give you a raise every year you work. I don’t know much school in the state of Nevada that will do that. Hug is not just a school but also its home for some students. This school has a way of making you feel safe and comfortable.
We have diversity. Our school is putting on the musical “Dreamgirls”. Which is important to some students because it gives students a chance to showcase their talent. And im happy to say I am apart of the musical as the character Jimmy Early.
This school gives off love, and you can feel the love on this campus. I am glad to say I am a student at Hug High because it has turned my life around in so many ways. At no other school in Nevada I think I would have achieved such greatness but here. I went from a bad student, that was going nowhere in life. To a student who is now successful and feels like he can do anything if I put my mind to it. No more do I feel like a failure. I believe that though the grace of God and this school I changed in so many ways. Hug High is not just a school but it is home. And im proud to be a student here because now I know I can do anything if I set my mind to it
