Well, i think its largely up to the individual or owner. i cant decide if someone lives or die, or i shouldn't be able to, but people can make this decision. its a heavy burden if you have to make this decision, and then you have to live with your choice or mistake. there was this Simpson's episode i saw awhile ago on this subject. were the Doctor was talking about this to the grandpa or someone, i don't really remember what came of that scene, but i remember in the next scene there was this criminal standing on top of the quicky-mart with a shotgun shooting random people who can out of the store saying "you live, you die", letting one go, but not the next. it was just funny the way they chose to make fun of this subject.
