there are many issues that we face everyday as americans and i'm sure that countries other than America face just as many if not more problems than we do. There are many that i believe affect every one on the planet. global warmimng is a topic on many peoples minds right now. from elementry school students to advance researchers, politicians to business leaders, questions abound regarding what global warming is, why it is happening, and what can and should be done about it. i do believe this is a major issue that is effecting everyone and i belive that at times it is often considered unimportant or just a myth. i think that global warming is a huge issue that should be taken more seriously and have immediate action taken to help stop it.
Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of earths near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century andits projected continuation. global surface temperature increased 0.74-0.18 C between the start and the end of the 20th century. the intergovernmental panel on climate change(IPCC)concludes that most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century was caused by increasing concentrations of green house gasses resulting from human acitivity such as fosil fuel durning and deforestation.
i believe the governments of the world should restrict the production of gasses that have the capability of harming the ozone layer. with these new restictions i believe that we could change our world for the better. now i know what im saying is a little extreme but i believe in order to salve this pressing issue we need to take drastic measures in order to make a difference in this losing battle of ours.
