The way I earned respect at home is I learned to be more mature about things. When I argue with my mom or brothers I learned to not talk back, leave things alone and then when things are calm talk about it. At school I just learned that some people are just going to be rude and disrespectful, but there others who will be wonderful and kind. So I really just give someone the respect that they give to me. If they are rude to me i wont be rude back i'll just ignore them walk away and not talk to them, but sometimes if someone is real disrespectful I do have to stand up for myself and defend my opinion. With friends I developed a trust foundation and with that trust the respect just grows from it. I know when it's a good time to mess around with friends as well as when its time to be serious. The respect that my friends get develop as the friendship grows. On the team as apart of the cheerleading squad you can say we get treated by how we treat everyone else. You also earn respect by being present in games, and at practice. If you give it your all you earn respect more. If you don't show up or have a bad attitude you do lose respect from team mates and coaches
