Rena Peterson - Respect

So there is a million and one ways to earn respect. The way I've earned respect from anyone is just being respectful first. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt first. I respect you, you respect me. With my friends it's really all about how I act and treat them. I'm loyal to my friends. I treat them with respect, but I always make sure when we're together, we have a good time. I apologise when I'm wrong, and force one from them when they know they're wrong. I stay optimistic with my friends so I never cause them to be uncomfortable, or bring down a good mood. At school I'm sort of a teacher's pet. This is how I earn respect in school. I'm polite and I do what I'm told (to a degree). I don't give any of my teachers grief, and I make sure they know that I know they are the authorities. I respect them and they respect me. The best way I earn respect at home is by doing what I'm told. I help my mother with my five siblings, so I'm sort of a mini mom. My mother respects me because I take the time out of my day to take care of her kids so she can go and relax. My basic ways of earning respect are being polite, doing what I'm told, and not complaining about it.
